Psalm 136

This was written for a Passover Seder we put every other year in our Awana program. This psalm is often recited as
a part of the Seder, and this year I decided to set it to music.
I also investigated this psalm in Hebrew and tried to work out how to sing the Hebrew to this tune. It ended up working out ok, but I found a lady in Israel who was willing to collaborate on the song.
You can hear her singing it in Hebrew here, she has a lovely voice. This song has received more downloads than any other song I've written, and in fact hit #49 on the Contemporary Christian Soundclick Charts.
This is a responsive reading psalm, meaning the congregation normally speaks the response 'for His mercy endureth for ever.'

1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 O give thanks unto the God of gods:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
4 To him who alone doeth great wonders:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
5 To him that by wisdom made the heavens:

6 To him that stretched out the earth above the waters:
